Updated: Nov 9, 2021

What is a clear card? Well, it is any part of the card that is made of clear paper, also known as acetate, or Dura Lar. Here are a ton of ways to make these clear cards, and I have a TON of ideas for you. PS Clear cards are so much fun!!

Clear cards can be made in any shape, size, and for different uses. Here are just a few including slimline, overlay, shaker, and more! I use Grafix Dura-Lar for my clear paper (acetate) as it has amazing hold, strength, and clarity to make these cards shine!

Floral Cards

These elegant cards are so fun to make, and really pack a punch. The clear paper helps with the layers, showing off all that amazing patterned paper and does not squish the handmade flower.

Learn how to make these cards with Dress My Craft papers and dies below.

Silmline Cards

These mini slimline cards are a ton of fun to make with clear paper. Add some cute elements and paper layers you can see on the front and back, the clear paper really makes everything shine!

Check out the video below to see how to make these cards with Dare 2B Artzy Paper, stamps, and dies.

Halloween Cards

These spooky cards are “bootiful”!! Layer patterned paper with cute dies and ink blending make for some really pretty cards! The coffin card is fun because the coffin laer is putly on the clear paper, so when you lift it up it shows the pretty patterned paper below and a fun hidden sentiment.

The next card is all about the center and the ink blending in the background. You see the layer behind the die, and the clear paper make it all happen!

See how to make both of these cards in the video tutorial below.

Shaker Cards

Shaker cards are a ton of fun. Not only to make but also to shake! You can layer the clear paper to just make the shaker or as the whole card!

You can even layered it on top of the card to make a raised element!

Check out a TON of different shaker cards in the video below.
